Halloween Costumes

This post is in the spirit of Halloween, I guess. :)


When I was younger my mom made all of my costumes. The skunk one was probably the most embarassing, but definitely the cutest. The poodle skirt was my favorite. My mom made matching skirts for my cousins, Sam and Rachel, since we all went to the same grade school. We walked through our school's Halloween parade together. It was awesome! GO MUSTANGS! This is just a picture with me and my cousins. I love Michael's costume. Ninja Turtles rock!

You Might Be a Redneck If....

Wow! Honestly, who looks at a pair of men's breif's and thinks... "I could make a nice top from these!" I can only imagine what the rest of her wardrobe looks like (assuming this is a woman).

"Can you throw that down again?"

This is so something I would do if I knew someone who could beatbox! Can you imagine being one of the workers and having someone do this to you? I love it!

I love this clip from Daddy Day Care. When Shayna and I first watched this movie we replayed this part probably about 20 times or more. We were in laughing attack mode! Hope you think it's as funny as we do.

Reminiscing

Lately I've been getting my family's home videos organized. It has reminded me how much fun I had as a kid. Summertime at my aunt Margaret's house holds some of the best memories: swimming in the horse tank with my cousins, sitting in lawn chairs in the blazing sun, shooting the spud gun (so much fun!), playing Around the World, grilling hamburgers, and just having a great time with friends and family. Watching the videos brought to mind how much I love my big family! Maybe if I figure out how to get the videos onto my computer I'll post some of the funny ones. :)

Spider

When I think of October, I think of spiders. It seems like during this month they are everywhere and let's just say I'm not a big fan of them. Here's a picture I took of the coolest looking spider I have ever seen that I found on our back porch.

What Women Want In Their Cars?

Not really sure if I would want all of this for my car. Seems like a lot of distractions. I like the part of not having to deal with your keys and the cameras in the front, back, and sides. The cameras would be great for parking and making sure you aren't going to hit something. It made me laugh that there's an alarm that sounds when you don't signal your turns. Don't you just love those drivers who don't use their turn signal? I sure don't. Technology sure is advancing and it's incredible how computerized everything has become.

"True Love"

When I hear this song all I can think is wow! I know I say I like a lot of songs, but this is definitely in my top 5 or maybe even my all time favorite. The words have so much meaning and power in them. I'm so thankful for "the day that true love died" and that God offers us the free gift of eternal life through his son, Jesus.

Just Kidding

This SNL skit is hilarious. Kristin Wiig is my favorite cast member and has amazing talent. Hope you think it's as funny as I do!

"House" Movie Trailer

Ted Dekker is my favorite author by far. His books are packed with suspense, unexpected twists, and unbelievable confrontations between good and evil. In early November, the movie "House" is being released based on best-selling authors Dekker and Frank Peretti's book. The movie has been waiting release for almost a year regarding the rating of the film. According to Dekker, the movie has very little blood, no foul language, and no sex. He believes that the MPAA has a problem with the story itself. The book/movie is based on "four lost souls entering their own hell, mistaking their one hope of rescue as something evil, and in the end either living or dying". It really is an intense story, but being a Christian, it has a lot of meaning. The book was amazing and I'm really excited to see the movie. Old School Jazzercise

Most of you know, I jazzercise. Laugh it up, but it's tons of fun and a great workout! Jazzercise is considered a triple threat; cardio, strength, and stretch. Here's a video of what it was like in the 80's. Sure glad they've kept up with the times and changed things up for the better.
